In December 2021, cardiologists, surgeons and other quality improvement staff convened via Zoom to focus on Acute Kidney Injury. During this forum the VCSQI AKI Workgroup unveiled a comprehensive set of Guidelines for prevention of AKI in cardiac patients. Efforts are ongoing to track implementation of these recommendations across programs along with associated improvements in post-procedure renal function.
