You’re Invited: VHAC Northern Region Meeting

The Virginia Heart Attack Coalition invites hospitals, EMS, emergency departments, cardiologists, and regional cardiac care partners to join the first meeting of the newly re-energized Northern Region VHAC.

VHAC is a statewide collaborative dedicated to improving acute cardiac care through data sharing, best-practice exchange, and regional coordination. The Northern Region is now co-led by Dr. Sachin Kumar, J’nay Harshbarger, and Ali Harned, bringing fresh leadership and renewed momentum to this important work.

This kickoff meeting will provide an opportunity to reconnect, review statewide data, and discuss how regional partners can work together to strengthen systems of care for patients experiencing heart attack and other acute cardiac events.

Meeting highlights will include:

• An overview of VHAC and VCSQI

• Review of statewide blinded data

• A case study demonstrating the value of regional collaboration

• Introductions from hospitals, EMS, ED, and cardiology partners

• Discussion and feedback on the future structure of Northern Region meetings

Join us as we rebuild regional engagement, share what is working, and identify opportunities to improve cardiac care across Northern Virginia.
