VHAC Collaborative Council

The VHAC Collaborative Council is an open, statewide forum bringing together clinicians, EMS professionals, data experts, administrators, and quality leaders to advance high-quality heart attack care across Virginia. The Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM, with discussions alternating between regional performance updates (odd months) and clinical workgroup initiatives (even months). Participation is open to anyone engaged in or interested in STEMI and acute cardiac care.

Meeting Schedule & Reporting

  • Meeting Time: Third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM

  • Participation: Open to all clinicians, EMS professionals, data managers, administrators, trainees, and stakeholders involved in STEMI and acute cardiac care

Meeting Focus (Alternating by Month):

  • Odd-Numbered Months: Regional Reporting

  • Even-Numbered Months: Clinical Workgroup Updates

Regional Reporting Requirement:

  • During regional reporting months (odd-numbered months), participating sites are asked to submit their regional data using the VHAC JotForm.

The Collaborative Council meets regularly to:

  • Review statewide and regional performance data

  • Support clinical workgroups and quality initiatives

  • Strengthen coordination between hospitals and EMS

  • Promote education, standardization, and innovation in acute cardiac care

Through shared accountability and partnership, the VHAC Collaborative Council helps ensure that patients across Virginia receive timely, equitable, and high-quality heart attack care—wherever they enter the system.
